LAHORE: Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Khalid Mahmood has expressed his desire to become the chairman of the board again.
Speaking to a private TV channel recently, Khalid Mahmood said that he has 50 years of experience in handling administrative matters. He has been a member of the PCB Governing Council and also the manager of the national team.
He said that if the government of the day and Patron in Chief PCB Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked him to assume the responsibilities, he would not refuse.
Khalid Mehmood said that in the past Mian Nawaz Sharif also asked him a question regarding the board and then he ran the board.

The former chairman of the PCB admitted that he wanted to discuss the chairman and issues of the PCB in a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, but the prime minister asked him, “Tell me how the board is doing.”
Khalid Mehmood told the prime minister that his experience and work should be taken into consideration while appointing him as the head of the cricket board. He said that Chairman PCB is an important post and it is an honor and requirement of this post that there should be no race for it.
It should be noted that PM Shehbaz Sharif has not yet made any decision regarding the replacement of the PCB chairman. He said that there are more issues, but now is not the time for a change.
