ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is celebrating the birth anniversary of the first female elected Prime Minister of the Islamic world, late Benazir Bhutto today.
On her 69th birth anniversary, famous personalities paid homage to the late Benazir Bhutto. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has pledged that by adhering to the philosophy of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, he would continue to struggle to eradicate poverty, hunger, and unemployment from the country as well as ensure socio-economic justice by strengthening parliament and democracy.

PPP leaders believe that their late chairperson Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto used to say that oppression does not know the provincial boundaries. “Wouldn’t it be better for us to use our energies in the fight against our common enemy instead of each other?”, the party’s official Twitter account posted.

Well-known singer Adnan Sami Khan while congratulating the late Benazir Bhutto on her birthday said that his father Arshad Sami Khan was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1989 but due to Benazir Bhutto his father survived and lived for another 20 years.
