ISLAMABAD: Around 1,400 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while 34 more civilians have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 961,085 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 22,379 people lost their lives due to the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 48,027 tests were carried out for the diagnosis of coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 1,46,85,198. It may be recalled that earlier the Ministry of National Health had issued instructions for Eid-ul-Azha declaring coronavirus vaccination compulsory.

Three days ago today, the Ministry of National Health issued SOPs in view of concerns over the spread of the virus in cattle markets and made vaccination mandatory for cattle traders and buyers. The Ministry of National Health said there was a risk of coronavirus spreading from cattle markets.
People who do not provide proof of vaccination should not be allowed to enter the cattle markets. According to the guidelines for Eid-ul-Adha, wearing a face mask has been made mandatory.
