Indian Politician Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has opposed the idea of actress Mahira Khan working in India as an artist.
According to Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, the party will not allow any Pakistani artiste to work in India. Moreover, the President of MNS Cinema wing Ameya Khopkar said, “We will not allow Mahira Khan or any other Pakistani artists to work here be it Maharashtra or in any part of the country.”

The reaction came from the political party after it was reported that Mahira was offered an upcoming project and she has accepted it. In an interview, the actress said that was approached by several Indian filmmakers in the past, however, was scared to take it.

It may be recalled that although Mahira was in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’, she was not allowed to attend the promotional events of the movie. Pakistani artists have been banned from working in India in the wake of the Uri terror attack since 2016.
