Police apprehends JUI-F's two leaders in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The police apprehended two leaders of Jamiat Ulema Islam-F (JUI-F) in the federal capital on Monday.
A case was lodged against the two JUI-F leaders by the police. The reports stated that Maulana Shafiq-ur-Rehman and Maulana Muhammad Irshad were apprehended from Shams Colony along with banners for the JUI-F sit-in in their possession.
The police claimed that both leaders were urging people to join the anti-government march against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The leaders defied the administration by placing the banners despite the fact that Section 144 had been imposed in the area.
Few people were found placing the banners for the JUI-F sit-in but fled as soon as the police force started chasing them.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman earlier announced an anti-government “Azadi March” on 31st October against the incumbent government.
In this regard, the Ministry of Interior has stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman could be detained well before the planned march scheduled on 31st October.
