HARARE: Zimbabwe has announced a 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Pakistan.
Williams Sean will lead the side which includes Burl Ryan, Chakabva Regis, Chivanga Tanaka, Ervine Craig, Jongwe Luke, Kamunhukamwe Tinashe, Madhevere Wessly, Marumani Tadiwanashe, Masakadza Wellington, Mufudza Tapiwa, Muzzarabani Blessing, Ngarava Richard, Taylor Brendan, Tiripano Donald.
Pakistan will play three T20I on April 21, 23, and 25 followed by two Tests from April 29. The Test matches will be held from from April 29 to May 3 and May 7 to 11. It has been confirmed that all the fixtures will take place in a bio-secure bubble in Harare behind closed doors.
Pakistan team has already reached Harare to play series against the home side. The team touched down on Saturday and began training on Sunday after clearing their Covid-19 tests. Pakistan’s Test players will leave for Zimbabwe on April 21.
This is the second time Zimbabwe and Pakistan are meeting since the pandemic last March. Zimbabwe visited Pakistan to play three ODIs and three T20Is in October-November last year.
Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1 and the T20I series 3-0. The teams have not played Test cricket against each other since Pakistan visited Zimbabwe in September 2013.
