ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has announced that the registration for coronavirus vaccination for the elders who are above 50 will be opened on Tuesday.
The minister took to Twitter and shared the news that people should encourage everybody who is above 50 plus to register themselves for 30th March registration.
Registration of those who are 50 plus for covid vaccination will be opened on march 30th. Registration of those who are 60 and older has already been open. Encourage everybody who is 50 plus to register when the registration is opened for them on 30th.

Earlier, Asad Umar, who heads the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), said that Pakistan recorded “the highest daily vaccination rate” as more than 41,000 people were inoculated against the novel coronavirus the other day.
He urged people aged 70 and above to get themselves registered for the vaccination. The mass vaccination centres have been established in 15 cities. As the country witnesses the third wave of the deadly virus, provincial governments have issued new coronavirus rules. Several cities have been placed under lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

The coronavirus positivity ratio shot on Thursday past 10% and the death toll crossed 14,000 as the third wave of the virus grips the country. The statistics by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) showed the novel coronavirus has claimed 63 more lives and 3,946 fresh infections were reported in the past day
It said that 38,858 tests were carries in the last 24 hours, out of which 3,946 returned positive, taking the national positivity ratio to 10.15%.
