KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has tested positive for the coronavirus, which claimed 40 lives in the past 24 hours.
In a tweet, the PPP chairman confirmed the news that he felt mild symptoms. “I have tested positive for #COVIDー19 & am self-isolating with mild symptoms.”

“I will continue working from home and will be addressing PPP foundation day via video link,” he said by adding, “wear a mask everyone, see you on the other side IA,” he maintained.
Moreover, earlier this week, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh contracted the virus. He had quarantined himself after the coronavirus test came positive.
Sindh Minister for Industry and Commerce Jam Ikramullah Dharejo also tested positive for coronavirus. He said that he had been feeling tired and had a mild fever for a few days. Dharejo had quarantined himself at his residence after testing positive for coronavirus.

Earlier, former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon also tested positive for the coronavirus, after which he quarantined himself. Prominent political leaders who had contracted the virus so far include Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Aamir Liaqat Hussain, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid.
