Pakistan accepts India’s proposed agreement on Kartarpur Corridor

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday accepted all conditions of a proposed agreement sent by India last week on Kartarpur Corridor.
According to sources, the text of the agreement however not included the proposed service fee of $20 Indian pilgrims would be required to pay to Pakistan for use of the corridor.
Concerned authorities have considered dispatching the reply from Pakistan over the Indian text of the agreement.
Pakistan will likely enhance the proposed service fee for use of the corridor in its reply of the proposed agreement sent by the neighboring country.

Pakistan is building the corridor from the Indian border to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur while the other part from Dera Baba Nanak in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district up to the border will be constructed by India.
Both countries have agreed that Pakistan would allow 5,000 Sikh visitors per day into the country through the corridor, which will also be the first visa-free corridor between the two neighbours since their independence in 1947.
