TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi has said that the coronavirus did not belong to any particular nation and region.
In a Tweet, Iranian spokesman wrote that the coronavirus was a global problem that could be dealt with mutually, while today the world was facing dangerous germs such as lies, violence, and hatred, he added.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman pointed to the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo calling the Coronavirus a ‘Wuhun Virus’, saying that such nonsensical statements have no place in the world.
Regarding the Coronavirus, which has currently spread to 119 countries around the world, the Foreign Ministry said that the outbreak in the world has the full potential of preventing mutual trust and unity.
Earlier the US Journal-New York Times revealed that some conservatives, including Mike Pompeo, Tom Cotton, and Representative Paul Gosar, called the Coronavirus the ‘Wuhan Virus’ as it was first spread from the Wuhan city of China.
