LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif has demanded an investigative report on an increase in sugar prices.
The PML-N president in this regard demanded the incumbent government to get back its decision increase in sugar prices.
While criticising Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said that why Imran Khan was not disclosing the report as he promised to expose the sugar thieves.
He further said that this act has shown that the government has an interest in general money and as per the formula given by Khan, the state was not disclosing facts over sugar shortage.
He earlier criticised the government’s decision to increase the tax on petroleum products. The state increased the petroleum levy by 106%. The parliament should investigate, he added.
He said that an overcharge on diesel by Rs25, petrol by Rs19 and an increase in the levy of kerosene oil by 105.5 percent was the height of cruelty with the people.
