ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has appreciated our economic policies.
The prime minister during a briefing in Islamabad expressed satisfaction over the reaching of the staff-level agreement with the IMF.
Imran Khan said, “Protecting the people with the help of the mini-budget in the current year is a big achievement.”
The prime minister further said that the government should focus on nabbing the big electricity thieves. The officials should take action against those who were involved in illegal profiteering, he added.
Earlier on Thursday, Imran Khan returned to the country after concluding a one-day visit to Qatar as part of high-level visits.
During his day-long visit, PM Imran met Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani and his Qatari counterpart. he discussed issues of mutual interest.
The premier also met business community of Qatar and discussed potential investment opportunities in Pakistan. This was the second visit of Imran Khan after assuming the office.
