ISLAMABAD: Former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan has claimed that the government was not included in his decision.
Speaking in an interview, Anwar Mansoor said that no one from the government spoke to me then how come anyone could force him to quit.
He further highlighted about his decision to resign that he had to resign as the objection was raised by the Pakistan Bar Council.
According to Anwar Mansoor, he remained chairman of the PBC for so many years, he cannot refuse the council’s demand.
The statement of Mansoor, who resigned earlier on Thursday came after the Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem said that Anwar Mansoor was asked to resign.
The law minister said that the government had told Anwar Mansoor that it would be better if he submits his resignation himself.
