KARACHI: The funeral prayers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inssaf (PTI) leader Naeemul Haque were offered today (Sunday) after Asr prayers at Masjid Aisha, Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Karachi’s DHA locality.
Prominent leaders of PTI and government officials, including Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, attended the prayers. Office workers of PTI’s Karachi chamber also attended the funeral.
PM’s Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan, Interior Minister Ejaz Shah, Deputy National Assembly Speaker Qasim Suri, and other government officials gathered at Naeem ul Haque’s residence ahead of his funeral prayers.
Naeem ul Haque passed away on Saturday night at the age of 70 in Karachi. He had been battling cancer for the past two years.
