This time the day is being observed after India in August last year withdrew the special status of keeping Kashmir in violation of all international laws, and since then the entire population of the occupied territory has been under a curfew and lockdown.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the AJK Legislative Assembly special session in Muzaffarabad on this day to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people.
Rallies, public meetings, and conferences will take place across the country, including Azad Kashmir, to attract the world community’s attention to serious human rights violations and brutality by the Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris.
