KARACHI: After the bearish starting trend of the week yesterday, Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a sharp uptrend today (Tuesday).
Today, at the start of the trading day the index witnessed a sharp rise of 200 points in the first two hours and the index was restored to 40,600.
However, the index reached 40,522.08 points during the next two hours following a slight downward trend.
The benchmark KSE 100 index at the Pakistan Stock Exchange saw an increase of 474.87 points (0.01%) to close at 40,884.25 points.
Yesterday, the stock market plummeted by over 1200 points due to the high inflation reading and the impact of the coronavirus in China.
