KARACHI: The US dollar remained at the Rs278 level in the open market, while the British pound was quoted above Rs373 and the euro above Rs316, according to currency rates released at 11:11am on September 24.
In the open market, the US dollar was bought at Rs278 and sold at Rs278.25. The British pound was bought at Rs373.25 and sold at Rs377.65, while the euro was bought at Rs316.58 and sold at Rs320.98.
The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs74 for buying and Rs74.55 for selling, while the UAE dirham was bought at Rs75.75 and sold at Rs76.40.
The Australian dollar was bought at Rs196.25 and sold at Rs201.35, while the Canadian dollar was quoted at Rs196.73 for buying and Rs201.75 for selling. The Chinese yuan was bought at Rs38.25 and sold at Rs38.97. The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.73 for buying and Rs1.83 for selling.
In the interbank market, the US dollar was quoted at Rs277.10 for bank buying and Rs277.60 for bank selling. The British pound was bought at Rs366.81 and sold at Rs367.47, while the euro was quoted at Rs315.28 for buying and Rs315.85 for selling.
The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.77 for buying and Rs73.90 for selling in the interbank market. The Japanese yen was bought at Rs1.75 and sold at Rs1.76, while the Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs41.26 for buying and Rs41.33 for selling.
