Gold Prices Surge by Rs7,900 per Tola in Pakistan, Silver Also Rises

KARACHI: Gold and silver prices recorded a significant increase in Pakistan’s local Sarafa markets on Wednesday, with the price of gold rising by Rs7,900 per tola and silver gaining Rs140 per tola.

According to the latest rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs7,900 per tola on September 16, 2026, reaching Rs457,236 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs6,773, taking the new rate to Rs392,006.

The local market also witnessed an increase in the price of 22-karat gold. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs6,208 to Rs359,351.

Silver prices also moved higher in the local Sarafa market. The price of silver increased by Rs140 per tola to Rs6,942, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs120 to Rs5,951.

The latest rates reflect a broad increase in both gold and silver prices in Pakistan’s local markets.
