IGP Sindh issue: CM Murad pens third letter to PM Imran

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah penned a third letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan to remove Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kaleem Imam and pick one of the five names recommended by the provincial government for the IGP slot.

CM Murad said in the letter that decision of federal cabinet on January 28 to hold the issue of IGP removal was the violation of 1993 agreement.

He further stated that Governor Imran Ismail’s consulation process for choosing the new IG was inappropriate.
