ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s auto industry has reached an important milestone as Suzuki has introduced Pakistan-made Alto and Every vehicles in the Brunei market for the first time.
In a statement issued on August 27, Suzuki said this was the first time it had exported vehicles from one of its overseas production centres that are similar in size and engine capacity to the mini vehicles used in Japan.
The company said the launch of the Alto and Every has expanded the range of Suzuki vehicles available to customers in Brunei.
Suzuki also said its partner, Boosted, plans to begin selling and distributing Suzuki motorcycles in Brunei, with sales expected to start around autumn 2026.
In Pakistan, Suzuki operates through Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMC), which assembles and manufactures various Suzuki vehicles locally and markets them in the country.
The export of Pakistan-made Alto and Every vehicles to Brunei is being seen as a positive development for the local auto industry, as it could help increase the international market for vehicles manufactured in Pakistan.
