ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held meetings with the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and foreign ministers from several countries on the sidelines of the SCO Heads of State Summit.
The meetings focused on regional peace and security, bilateral relations, mutual cooperation and global issues. The SCO Secretary-General assured full support for Pakistan’s priorities and initiatives during its 2026-27 chairmanship.
Ishaq Dar also invited Antonio Guterres to visit Pakistan, which the UN Secretary-General accepted. Dar also held meetings with officials from Iran, China, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Armenia and Türkiye to discuss regional developments, diplomatic cooperation and matters of mutual interest.
