Pakistan Customs has recovered electronic goods worth millions of rupees from the luggage of a passenger arriving from Dubai at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
According to customs officials, the luggage of a passenger travelling on Flydubai flight FZ335 was scanned on suspicion, during which suspicious items were detected.
The luggage was subsequently moved to the red channel for a detailed search.
During the search, officials recovered 29 cameras and five camera lenses, along with other electronic items, including 10 fitness bands.
Officials said 19 digital cameras liable to customs duty and taxes were taken into custody.
According to customs authorities, the total value of the recovered items is approximately Rs5.5 million.
All the goods have been seized under the Customs Act, 1969, while a case has been registered against the passenger and further legal proceedings have been initiated.
