Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has secured a county cricket return after signing with Lancashire for the remainder of the 2025 T20 Blast season.
The experienced leg-spinner and middle-order batter will replace injured Australian all-rounder Chris Green as Lancashire look to revive their campaign in the competition.
The 27-year-old leg-spinning all-rounder joins as a replacement for Australian cricketer Chris Green, who was ruled out for the rest of the campaign after suffering a fractured thumb earlier this month.
Shadab brings extensive international experience, having represented Pakistan in six Test matches and 197 limited-overs internationals. He is also familiar with county cricket, having previously played for Yorkshire and Sussex.
Lancashire Director of Cricket Mark Chilton welcomed the signing, describing Shadab as a player of exceptional quality and experience.
He said that although the club was disappointed to lose Green, securing Shadab’s services at short notice would provide a significant boost to the squad during an important stretch of fixtures.
