PANJGUR: Security forces foiled a major terrorism plan in Panjgur district of Balochistan through an effective and timely operation.
According to security sources, secret information was received about the presence of terrorists and sabotage plans in Jarek area of Panjgur, after which forces conducted a very important operation.
During the operation, a suspicious vehicle was searched and a heavy quantity of weapons, ammunition and communication material was recovered.
Sources say security forces seized 4 rocket fuses and multiple IEDs (improvised explosive devices) from the vehicle. According to security sources, this dangerous and explosive material was to be used in a possible major terrorist attack, but the alertness of forces foiled this nefarious plan and saved the area from great destruction.
Public and defense circles say that this successful operation of security forces proves that the guardians of the country are a wall of lead against enemies of peace and terrorists, and are always alert to maintain law and order in the province.
In a similar operation conducted on June 5, Security forces killed six terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.
In its statement, the military’s media wing said the operation was carried out on the night of June 3–4 after reports of the presence of militants belonging to what it described as the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Hindustan.”
