Islamabad is expected to receive light scattered showers during the morning, with temperatures forecast to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 26°C.
According to the Met Office, there is a 50% chance of rain between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., followed by light rainfall between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The skies are expected to clear later in the day.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide weather alert, warning of thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rainfall, urban flooding, and glacier-related flood risks across Pakistan over the next 12 to 24 hours.
The National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) said that the upcoming weather conditions are based on the predictions made some months ago. Moreover, the NDMA said that it had been giving timely warnings and risk assessments to the government departments and district authorities.
The rain, thunderstorms, windstorm, and dust storm were expected in different parts of the country, like Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and some parts of Sindh.
The major cities, such as Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Karachi, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and Turbat may witness bad weather conditions.
