Just about two full years after Season 2, House of the Dragon Season 3 premiers today (Sunday, June 21, 2026) on HBO and HBO Max.
As per the IMDB, there will be eight episodes in season 3. New episodes release weekly on Sunday nights at 9:00 PM ET through the finale on August 9, 2026.
Adapted from author George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the story picks up in the 3rd season of “House of the Dragon” with Aemond Targaryen ruling from the Iron Throne in King’s Landing while King Aegon is on the run.

It is worth mentioning that HBO has already officially renewed the series for a fourth and final season, which is expected to debut in 2028.
