A dispute that began on social media escalated into a violent armed clash on the Gudola–Darya Khan Road in Bhakkar, resulting in multiple casualties and widespread chaos.
According to police, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station, Bhakkar. Initial investigations suggest that a minor dispute on TikTok and social media escalated into a deadly armed clash.
DPO Bhakkar, Shehzad Rafiq Awan, said that during the exchange of fire between both groups, one young man from each side was killed. The deceased were identified as Sheraz and Zohaib, while five others were injured. The injured and bodies were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital.
According to hospital MS Dr. Haroon Tahir, a large number of supporters from both groups arrived at the hospital, where fighting broke out again in the emergency ward corridor. During this chaos, several more people were injured in knife attacks. Meanwhile, indiscriminate firing resulted in the killing of one injured person who was already under treatment in the emergency ward.
The MS further said that a civilian patient was also critically injured in the firing, causing panic among hospital staff and patients. Due to the tense situation, the hospital emergency ward was temporarily closed but later reopened after the situation was brought under control, and treatment of the injured continued.
DPO Bhakkar took immediate notice of the incident and visited the hospital to inquire about the injured. He directed that the best medical facilities be provided and said police responded in time and brought the situation under control.
