Gold prices record major jump in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Thursday, following gains in the international market.

In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs5,000, reaching Rs475,362.

Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs4,287 to Rs407,546, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Wednesday, gold prices had dropped by Rs6,800 per tola, settling at Rs470,362.

In the global market, gold prices climbed by $50 per ounce to $4,530, including a premium of $20.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an increase, with per tola rates rising by Rs60 to Rs8,034.
