The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a province-wide crackdown on unregistered vehicles, motorcycles and token tax defaulters.

In a statement, the department said vehicle owners across the province are being formally notified that enforcement action has already begun. Unregistered vehicles and those with unpaid token tax will now face strict penalties

Officials urged citizens to avoid inconvenience by ensuring their vehicles and motorcycles are registered with the excise department and that all outstanding token taxes are paid promptly.

The statement warned that violations would result in heavy fines, vehicle seizure and further legal action.

Authorities added that enforcement would be carried out without discrimination, emphasising that action against those failing to comply with the law would continue unabated.
