KARACHI: After several days of relief for buyers, gold and silver prices in Pakistan rebounded sharply today, reversing the downward trend seen earlier this week.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24‑karat gold per tola jumped by Rs 11,100 to reach Rs 488,962, while 10 grams of 24‑karat gold surged Rs 9,517 to Rs 419,206. The price of 22‑karat gold per 10 grams also climbed to Rs 384,286, reflecting an increase of Rs 8,725.

Silver followed suit, with 24‑karat silver per tola rising Rs 223 to Rs 8,072, and 10 grams of silver gaining Rs 191 to Rs 6,920.

On the international market, gold advanced $111 to $4,666 per ounce, while silver strengthened $2.23 to $75.88 per ounce.

Market experts say the rebound is linked to renewed strength in the global dollar index and investor demand, which pushed international bullion higher. While the surge may dampen the relief buyers enjoyed in recent days, jewellers note that volatility remains high, and prices could continue to fluctuate in line with global trends.
