Balochistan Govt takes notice of flour shortage in province

QUETTA: On Monday, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal ordered commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure the supply of flour and wheat at the provisional government rates.
Taking notice of the increase in flour rates, Jam Kamal promised to take action against hoarders and those involved in stocks by creating an artificial spike in prices of basic daily food products, in particular, flour.

He released certain instructions, following media reports and public concerns about the artificial price increase of flour and other food items on the markets.
The CM Balochistan has also ordered the food department to supply wheat, stored in department warehouses to resolve the crisis.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, on the other side, had also ordered a national crackdown on hoarders and profiteers to raise the prices of flour and wheat.

Prime minister ordered the concern officials to take effective measures to stabilize wheat flour prices, adding that iron hands will be dealt with to those involved in creating an artificial flour crisis in the country.
