The Director General (DG) of Environment Punjab, Imran Hamid Sheikh, said that EPA Punjab has launched a strict crackdown against pollution-causing vehicles in Lahore. After November 15, vehicles without an ETS certificate or green sticker will be seized. Only vehicles that meet the standards of the Punjab Environment Department will be allowed on the road.

He further said that a zero-tolerance policy has been enforced against environmentally harmful vehicles. Vehicles not verified through ETS will face legal action and confiscation.

He added that EPA Punjab has started the strictest anti-pollution campaign from Lahore. Citizens are urged to immediately get their vehicles’ exhaust testing done, otherwise their vehicles will be confiscated.
