Veteran Pakistani actress Nisho Begum, mother of actress Sahiba and mother-in-law of actor Jan Rambo, has addressed the ongoing rumors regarding her alleged fourth marriage, a statement that has since gone viral on social media.
In a recent interview, when asked whether she had secretly entered into a fourth marriage, Nisho clarified that she is currently enjoying life and has been politely declining the proposals she continues to receive.
The actress said her children have no objection to her remarrying, and if a fourth marriage is destined for her, it will happen — as such matters are in the hands of Allah.
She emphasized that marriage has no age limit, stating:
“If it is written in my fate, I will surely marry again.”
Drawing a comparison with Saudi Arabia, Nisho remarked that in some societies, women who are widowed or divorced are encouraged to remarry quickly, sometimes multiple times, whereas in Pakistan, people often turn marriage into a social controversy.
She firmly stated that since Islam allows it, if destiny permits, she will not hesitate to marry for the fourth time.:
Nisho Begum’s first marriage took place in 1970 but ended in divorce in 1976.
In 1978, she married writer Tassaduq Hussain Fazli, who passed away in 1982.
Her third marriage was to director Jamal Pasha in 1986, who died in 2019.
Rumors regarding her possible fourth marriage have been circulating for several days, prompting her recent clarification.
