Japanese PM Shinzo Abe cancels Middle East trip

TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Oman this weekend. According to TV Ashi, PM Abe called a National Security Conference (NSC) meeting amid the latest bombings in Iraq.

The Japanese Prime minister recently offered to mediate between America and Iran and was set to visit Middle-East this weekend. The latest bombings lead by Iran today raised new security concerns in the region. PM abe convened a security conference to ensure national safety issues in case of conflict.
