Pakistani Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anam Sher Khan has been awarded the prestigious Criminal Investigation Award 2025 in Dubai for her outstanding investigative work.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the award was presented by the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police during a ceremony at the Dubai World Trade Center.
This international recognition highlights ASP Anam Sher Khan’s exemplary investigative skills and professional leadership, bringing global attention to the capabilities of Pakistan’s law enforcement. She received the honour for successfully leading and solving two high-profile murder cases in Punjab.
In the first case, she supervised the investigation into the tragic death of 12-year-old domestic worker Ayesha Bibi, who was brutally murdered.
Under her command, the Sargodha Police apprehended the suspects within 72 hours, earning widespread appreciation from both the public and government officials, including the Punjab Chief Minister.
In another remarkable case, she led the swift arrest of suspects involved in the murder of a young man named Mohsin, ensuring justice within just 24 hours.
Both investigations demonstrated not only her command over investigative procedures but also her commitment to timely and fair justice. Her leadership in these cases had earlier earned her official commendation and recognition from Punjab Police.
Inspector-General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar said that selection of a Pakistani female police officer for this prestigious award is an honor for Pakistan police.
The Award Committee short-listed two candidates of the Punjab Police after strict scrutiny and interviews.
The police spokesman said that DPO Kasur Mohammad Esa Khan won second award on “Best Artificial Intelligence Implementation in Policing Award”.
Police officials from 192 countries participated in the event to showcase outstanding performance in different categories.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) lauded both officials for highlighting Pakistan’s soft image globally.
