In a tragic incident in Mangaluru, a city in the Indian state of Karnataka, a young man lost his life after being brutally attacked by Hindu extremists for allegedly chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” during a local cricket match.
According to reports, the mob assaulted the youth during the match, leading to his death. Karnataka’s Home Minister, G. Parameshwara, confirmed the incident and stated that more than ten individuals involved in the violence have been arrested.
He added that preliminary information suggests the youth had raised the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad” during the game, which provoked the crowd and resulted in the fatal attack.
Parameshwara assured that the police acted swiftly and detained those responsible. However, a complete investigation report is still awaited.
The postmortem report revealed that the cause of death was internal injuries and excessive bleeding, which ultimately led to the young man’s demise.
