Pakistan’s Noor Zaman has reached the final of the Under-23 World Squash Championship, as reported by national media on Thursday.
In the men’s semi-final of the championship in Karachi, Noor Zaman displayed an outstanding performance against Malaysia’s Chandaran. Noor Zaman won the first game 6-11 and also secured victory in the second game with a 2-11 score.
In the third game, Noor Zaman was leading 4-6, but Chandaran had to withdraw from the match due to injury, allowing Noor Zaman to advance to the final.
In the other semi-final, Egypt’s Karim El-Torky defeated his fellow countryman and top seed Ibrahim El-Kabani, winning three games to one. Karim El-Torky’s winning score was 11-7, 2-11, 8-11, and 5-11. In the final, Karim El-Torky will face Pakistan’s Noor Zaman.
In the women’s event, Hong Kong’s Chin Sin Yuk defeated her Malaysian opponent, 3-2, to secure a place in the final. The women’s final will be between Chin Sin Yuk and Egypt’s Feroze Abulkhair.
