KARACHI: After a 50-hour delay, the supply of CNG on Sunday has resumed in Sindh, bringing a breath of relief to motorists.
While it’s a temporary relief, the gas stations are open for 12 hours only on Sunday, which will close at 8 pm tonight. There is a severe shortage of gas in the province, with hard-hitting CNG stations and domestic consumers.

The gaps between the supply of CNG at stations have increased, resulting in a loss for people using CNG in their vehicles especially taxis and buses.
Domestic consumers are also upset by the limited supply of gas since low gas pressure in their homes means that cooking or using geysers to heat water is all most impossible in this situation.
The SSGC says domestic customers will have to wait a little longer before gas supply rises, SSGC’s Supply General Manager Saeed Ahmed Larik said supply from the gas fields of Rehman, Ayesha and Amna will be released shortly.
