Renowned TV host and actress Nida Yasir has addressed a viral question after her son playfully roasted her in a widely shared video, pointing out that she doesn’t cook at home.
In Pakistani culture, cooking is often considered an essential responsibility for mothers and women in the household. In a recent video, Nida Yasir said, “If I’m not trolled at least once a month, I feel like something important hasn’t happened.”

“I told my house staff that I have a habit of saying things that go viral, and people start trolling me. They replied that everyone has their own way of speaking.” She stated.
Speaking about her son Balaj, she added, “My son Balaj appeared on my show, and he roasted (made fun of) me. I told him that I have now become an open book for everyone. He asked me, ‘When have you ever cooked at home?’ I used to cook before, but I stopped after he was born.”
Nida Yasir continued, “He said he has never eaten food cooked by me and asked when I ever cook. That part of the show went viral. Even my 10-year-old son was asking, ‘Where’s the video in which I roasted you?’ Sometimes I cook when I feel like it, but I have so many responsibilities that I get exhausted, which is why I don’t cook regularly.”
