Australian cricket legend David Warner is set to make his Indian cinema debut with the upcoming Telugu film Robinhood, starring Nithiin in the lead role. Warner, who will be seen in a special cameo, expressed his excitement about the project and shared that he thoroughly enjoyed the filming experience.
On Saturday, Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind director Venky Kudumula’s action-packed entertainer, officially welcomed Warner to Indian cinema. Announcing the news on social media, the team shared a poster of the cricketer and wrote:
“After making his mark on the field, it’s time for him to shine on the silver screen! Introducing the widely loved @davidwarner31 to Indian cinema with #Robinhood in an exciting cameo. Grand release worldwide on March 28!”
Following the announcement, Warner took to social media, writing:
“Indian cinema, here I come! Excited to be a part of #Robinhood. Thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this one. Grand release worldwide on March 28!”

As the title suggests, Robinhood follows the story of a daring thief, played by Nithiin, who robs the rich to help the poor. His character, Honey Singh, is a fearless and opportunistic thief willing to take on any challenge for the right price.
Initially set for release last year, the film’s launch was postponed and is now scheduled to hit theaters on March 28.
