If you performed in Hajj in 2024, you may be eligible for a refund of up to Rs140,000, according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, Religious Affairs Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain announced that the government would refund amounts ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs140,000 to pilgrims.

He said that Pakistan continues to offer one of the most affordable Hajj packages globally and reiterated that the cost of this year’s Hajj has not increased.

According to the Additional Secretary of Religious Affairs, the refund amounts will vary, with some pilgrims receiving up to Rs140,000, while others may receive as little as Rs20,000. Specifically, 3% of pilgrims will receive Rs140,000, 23% will be refunded Rs75,000, and 3,000 pilgrims will get Rs50,000.

It should be noted that the cost of Hajj this year is Rs1.05 million, compared to last year’s shorter Hajj, which was priced at Rs1.075 million.
