General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), chaired the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday.

The conference focused on evaluating the regional and internal security environment, as well as assessing a comprehensive range of threats.

The participants paid heartfelt homage to the sacrifices of the Shuhada from the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and civilians who lost their lives in the quest for peace and stability in their cherished homeland.

The Corps Commanders’ Conference also examined the current situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary. In a show of solidarity with the resilient people of Kashmir, coinciding with Kashmir Solidarity Day (5 February 2025), the forum strongly denounced the ongoing and egregious human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), recognizing these actions as a significant threat to regional peace and stability.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination, as outlined in relevant UN Security Council resolutions, the forum underscored the importance of international involvement in addressing these ongoing violations.

The forum also expressed serious concern regarding the recent reckless and provocative remarks from Indian military officials, labeling them as irresponsible and harmful to regional stability.

In his address to the forum, the COAS stated: “The Pakistan Army is fully prepared to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. These empty statements from the Indian military reflect their increasing frustration and are merely attempts to distract their populace and the international community from their numerous internal issues and blatant human rights abuses. Any aggressive action against Pakistan will be met with the full and resolute force of the state, InshaAllah.”
