The Pakistani rupee (PKR) experienced a modest rise against the US dollar (USD) on the third trading day of the week on Wednesday, appreciating by 12 paisa or 0.04 percent. At the start of trading on November 6, the PKR was recorded at Rs277.72 per US dollar.
This follows a slight dip in the value of the rupee on the previous trading day, when it had slipped by 5.03 paisa, or 0.02 percent, closing at Rs277.84 per USD. Comparing this with Monday’s closing of Rs277.79, the rupee has shown a minimal fluctuation in recent days.
Since the beginning of the fiscal year 2025, the rupee has gained a total of 50.33 paisa, or 0.18 percent, against the US dollar. Additionally, over the course of 2024, the PKR has appreciated by Rs4.02, or 1.45 percent, against the greenback.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Riyal (SAR) remained stable against the Pakistani rupee. As of November 6, the buying rate of the Saudi Riyal stood at Rs73.65, while the selling rate was recorded at Rs74.15 in the open market, according to forex. pk. No significant change was observed in the Riyal’s value in comparison to recent trends.
