WWE is set to make its debut on Netflix! Earlier this year, the global leader in sports entertainment secured a ten-year deal with the world’s largest streaming service to bring flagship shows, including WWE Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, to the platform.
SmackDown will kick off this exciting partnership, and both WWE and Netflix are eager to expand this collaboration. Netflix aims to eventually host all of WWE’s content, including monthly premium live events.
In an interview with Busted Open Radio, WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax announced that WWE content will be available on international Netflix accounts starting January 3, 2025. “We’re about to be in 80% of the world, coming up in January,” she stated. “January 3rd is the international launch for WWE on Netflix, while January 6th marks the U.S. debut for Raw.” This means international users will have a three-day head start before “WWE Monday Night Raw” streams live on Netflix, with the January 6, 2025, episode being the first to air.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, expressed excitement over the acquisition: “We are thrilled to have WWE Raw, which boasts a huge and passionate multigenerational fan base, on Netflix. By combining our reach and recommendations with WWE’s fandom, we’ll deliver more joy and value to their audiences and our members. Raw epitomizes sports entertainment, merging compelling characters and storytelling with live action every week, and we look forward to this long-term partnership with WWE.”
