On Friday gold rates in the Pakistani market witnessed a significant increase of Rs 1,600 per tola, while the value of the yellow metal also went up in the international market.
Today in the Pakistani market the gold rates are as below, however, these rates will be changed in the middle of the day as every day Sarafa Jewellers Association announces new rates between 12 pm to 3 pm.
Check out today’s rates:
- Per tola of 24 karat gold: Rs.242,900
- 10 grams of 24 karat gold: Rs.208,248
- 10 gram 22 karat gold: Rs.190,894
On Friday, Per tola and ten-gram silver remained stagnant at Rs.2,750 and Rs.2,357.68 respectively.
The price of gold in the international market increased by $28 to $2,363 from $2,335, the Association reported.
It should be noted that buying gold jewelry for weddings is a common practice in Pakistan as in some areas a groom has to gift gold jewelry to his bride which is why the increase in gold prices also affects the common man.
