Murad Ali Shah chairs PPSPCC meeting in CM House

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday chaired the Provincial Public Safety and Police Complaints Commission (PPSPCC) meeting at the Chief Minister House. 
Chief Secretary Sindh Mumtaz Shah, Law adviser Murtaza Wahab and Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi, Secretary Commission Saifullah Abro, Aidad Pattafi, Mohammad Ali Aziz, Shahnaz Begum, Barrister Hia Ayman, Kurban Milano, and others were present in the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the provincial annual police plan and growing traffic issues in the city were also discussed. According to the chief minister’s spokesman, there were five main items for discussion on the agenda.
They discussed to take strict action on the smuggling of gutka, mainpuri and other tobacco products into the province. They also discussed the increasing traffic problems in Karachi, and providing more staff to the police commission.
The meeting reviewed students’ issues at Shaheed Benazirabad Universit and an incident in Mehrabpur in which a minor girl was assaulted. The meeting sought to report over the suspected suicide of a minor girl in Pir Jo Goth near Khairpur.

Earlier on 16th December, Murad Ali Shah launched an anti-polio drive at the Janat Gul Hospital in the Gadap Town area of Karachi.
During the campaign, more than two point three million children in Karachi and nine million children in other parts of the province, under the age of five years, were administered a polio vaccine.
An anti-polio drive in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has kicked off today in a bid to curb rising cases across the country.
