The first solar eclipse of this year will be seen today in different countries of the world, including countries like the USA, Canada, and Mexico, the second solar eclipse of the year will be on October 2.
According to the details, the first solar eclipse of this year will not be seen in Pakistan. Experts say that the solar eclipse which will start tonight from April 8 to the beginning of April 9 cannot be seen in Pakistan due to the night.
Solar eclipse time?
According to some media reports, the Meteorological Department says that the solar eclipse will begin at 8:42 PM tonight according to Pakistani time. The solar eclipse will peak at 11:17 PM while the eclipse will end at 1:52 PM.
The last time a total solar eclipse was observed was in December 2021 in Antarctica, one of the world’s coldest regions. According to experts, the solar eclipse today will be a total solar eclipse, that is, the shadow of the moon will completely cover the sun.
What does a solar eclipse mean?
According to experts, a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon’s shadow completely covers the Sun, resulting in darkness during the day and evening or night. A situation arises.
Precautions for pregnant women
In various societies, pregnant women are instructed to be careful during solar and lunar eclipses, but experts believe that harmful solar radiation does not increase during solar eclipses and pregnant women are not affected by it.
Some people advise pregnant women to stay away from the eclipse to avoid skin damage, but even on normal days, the strong rays of the sun can cause skin damage that has nothing to do with the eclipse.
Here we also have to understand that the fears of solar eclipse harming mother and child are linked to cultural beliefs which are based on superstitions rather than scientific evidence. Directly looking at the sun during a solar eclipse and staying outdoors for too long can be harmful.
What does Islam say?
According to a religious article on a website (The Fatwa), the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said that the sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah which are not eclipsed by the death or life of anyone. Whenever you see this, pray to Allah Ta’ala, say Takbeer, pray, and give charity.
In the same article, it is stated that there are incidents of Nawafl, Duas, and Sadaqahs during solar and lunar eclipses from the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) biography, but there is no prohibition of spinning or cutting during the lunar eclipse of a pregnant woman. There is no evidence of special orders.
