PIC attack: Interim bail of PM’s nephew extended by 4 days

LAHORE: Lawyer Hassaan Niazi, a nephew of Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been nominated in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack case.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the lawyer earlier on Wednesday, even his house was raided by the Punjab police on Friday but due to his absence, Hassaan Niazi was not apprehended.

According to the SSP investigation,  Niazi was part of the gang that raised PIC on Wednesday. His name was earlier not mentioned in the FIR.
Niazi was present outside the PIC earlier on Wednesday during the lawyers’ violent protest. He could be seen pelting stones and breaking a police mobile in CCTV footage.
On 11th December, a violent clash erupted between hundreds of lawyers and doctors left at least four people dead. Policemen later arrested several lawyers.
