KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has granted bail to Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani and twelve others including his family members in assets beyond means case.
The SHC has directed Agha Siraj Durrani to submit two surety bonds of Rs1 million each in the court.
The SHC also directed the authorities to lift Durrani’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
NAB arrested Agha Siraj Durrani from Islamabad on 20th February this year for an investigation regarding his own assets beyond known sources of income.
The NAB prosecution named 20 persons including Durrani as accused in the reference filed in accountability court Karachi after an inquiry.
According to the NAB, Durrani and other accused were involved in corruption of up to 1.6 billion rupees.
