On October 7, 2023, when Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced the end of Hamas by attacking Gaza, only the US government and a few European countries supported him. In particular, the Biden administration did not just support but became a regular facilitator. Three fleets were sent to the region and assigned to guard Israel, and with the help of military cargo planes, they also started supplying missiles and smart bombs. Thus, the bombs that fell on Gaza were certainly dropped by Israel, but America continued to supply these bombs for the same purpose.
The rest of the world’s stance on Netanyahu’s announcement was that an attack on Gaza would not be right. There is a huge civilian population in a very tight space, the loss will be all his. So it should be avoided. But the most important opinion was from those military experts who have independent opinions. Among them are former military and intelligence officers from the United States and Britain themselves. These officers, through videos and articles on websites such as “Sub Tech” with the help of YouTube channels, constantly warned Israel that invading Gaza would be fatal for Israel. It will prove to be the worst mistake. And with this, Israel will suffer the worst political and military loss in its history.
These experts provided a complete description of it. They said that Hamas is not sitting on top of the ground but under the ground. It has set up a vast complex 170 feet underground with hospitals, warehouses, small arms factories, residential blocks, and an unbreakable supply line. Then there are the tunnels, some of which are of medium depth and are used for logistics. While some tunnels are on the upper level which will be used for attacks.
Not only this, but these experts also said that Israel will conduct airstrikes on Gaza as usual, which will turn large buildings into rubble. When buildings are destroyed, they do not destroy the entire ground, but generally, the ground floor remains. This debris will prove to be Hamas’s biggest supporter for attacks. And Israel will constantly face resisters in this wreckage who will not see it but will wreak havoc.
Power is an addiction. And intoxication destroys the intellect. Even if this intellect belongs to the Jews who are known to be very intelligent. So these words of wisdom could not find a place in the addicted Israeli and American minds. And Israel entered Gaza. When it appeared in the early days of the attack that everything was indeed starting to happen as military experts said, the United States sent its Secretary of State, Anthony Blanken, to Doha and demanded that the Qatari government forbid Al Jazeera TV to show videos of Israel’s defeat. But we have already told in several columns that America is no longer the superpower whose every order used to be mandatory. The Qatari government refused. As a result, it became easier to analyze the situation in Gaza. A month later, the Israelis thought why not fill the tunnels with seawater to force Hamas to come out? As many heavy-duty motors as could be found were brought and installed on the Gaza coast, but the first tunnel shattered even this dream. Each tunnel was equipped with airtight iron gates at different distances from the inside. So the water started going back into the sea. When the Israelis entered a tunnel, they had just finished taking selfies and posting them on social media when Hamas blew up the tunnel and buried them there.
If we analyze the entire war as a whole, it is an unparalleled example of the “Modern Art of War”. Let us note that this war will soon become part of the curriculum of war colleges. On the one hand, there was Gaza, where Palestinian casualties continued to be exposed only to civilians, leading to international pressure on Israel and the Biden administration, which was a success. In the many videos and photos of the fighters that have come out, Israeli soldiers are seen dead in hundreds and thousands injured, but no important Hamas commander or leader was killed. Gaza’s narrow streets remain littered with the wreckage of Israeli tanks, armored vehicles, and bulldozers. And this wreckage of its own devices was a constant source of trouble for Israel. If it was left in the streets, the Palestinian children would take selfies on it and establish a permanent front on TikTok. Therefore, every tank and armored vehicle destroyed by Hamas had to be removed from Gaza on the same day, which would have caused more casualties. Because those who came to take the debris were also targeted.
A very notable strategy in this war was that of Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthis. Hizbullah had kept northern Israel as a permanent target and set a wonderful example of war escalation management. In escalation management, the temperature of the attacks is kept so that the enemy continues to receive small wounds and daily bleeding, but it does not seem like a regular war is going on. As a result, after some time when the calculation is done, it is found that hundreds of tanks have been destroyed. Many soldiers have been killed, many injured, and property worth billions has been damaged. If you look at the performance of Hezbollah from this point of view, there are hundreds of videos available. And if you have a military consciousness, you cannot live without saying that Weldon Hezbollah. The result of the Hezbollah war escalation in northern Israel is that apart from killing and destroying, the Israeli government is forced to shelter 100,000 citizens who evacuated from there in hotels. Due to this Israel is facing a burden of billions of dollars.
The third thing to consider is that when it was decided not to cut Israel’s oil supply at the OIC meeting, immediately after that Yemen’s Houthis mobilized in the Red Sea and cut Israel’s supply line. If anyone thinks that behind this game, only the Houthis are loners or the more radical Iran, it will be a big misunderstanding. To us, the entire Muslim community was behind him. The biggest proof of this is that the Saudi airspace has been used continuously for the Houthis’ attacks on Israel and Saudi Arabia has remained completely silent on it. Another important thing is that the Saudi Navy is present in the Red Sea. Which is completely irrelevant. An important point to note is that Israeli ships were crossing the Red Sea using the flags and identities of other countries. And they kept coming from distant countries. Who used to tell the Houthis which ship belongs to Israel or is going to Israel?
So, this overall situation clearly shows that the Muslim countries had successfully assumed the role of good cop, and the good cop was also angry with America and was not accepting it. He was just saying that we are not involved in the war, we are good children. While Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis continued to play the role of bad cop with full success. In such a situation, a permanent role was also maintained by the organizations that were constantly targeting the American bases in Iraq and Syria. This is the situation in which four days ago the Israeli Prime Minister had to announce that there are troubles in Gaza.
But it should not be thought that America and Israel will digest this humiliation easily. This is a very unusual defeat and they cannot digest it, otherwise, they will suffer a huge political loss. They will surely play a game that will wash away the stain of their defeat. In this regard, Israel has made two attempts, one of which was an attack in Beirut that killed the Hamas leader who had been negotiating with Israel regarding the exchange of prisoners. All the documents of the exchange of prisoners are signed by the same leader, Saleh al-Aroori. Israel would like Hamas to take out its anger on the remaining prisoners, which would shift the pressure on Hamas, but this is its omission. Similarly, the attack on the anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani in the city of Kerman in Iran has also been carried out by Israel. The whole world knows that ISIS, which claimed responsibility for this attack, is a tool of America and Israel in Syria. This is the reason why this organization remained completely indifferent to the current situation in Palestine. And now it has been mobilized to facilitate Israel.
Through the terrorist attack in Kerman, Israel has tried to force Iran to respond in a way that would justify the US attack on Iran. And all the attention should shift away from the defeat of Gaza to Tehran. But the Iranians are not foolish. The current regime there has been in a constant state of war throughout its tenure, which has given it vast experience in making sound decisions in such a situation. So Iran will not take any action that will point a finger at it. On the contrary, the result of his restraint will be that the pressure on Israel itself will increase as a result of terrorist attacks. The pressure that has taken shape since the defeat of Israel in Gaza is now that some international experts are even saying: “Forget the two-state formula. Now the situation is becoming such that we have to consider the question of what the post-Israel Middle East will be like. Because Israel’s current defeat has endangered its very existence.”
Experts are not just saying this emotionally. Rather, there are solid reasons behind it. The first is that for the past few years, Israelis have believed that Israel is now safe forever. A high-tech iron wall has been established between Israel and Palestine, so no suicide bomber can come. But on October 7, this iron wall proved to be nothing more than a villager’s mud wall. Hamas guerrillas roamed freely in Israel for hours and completed their mission. And on his way back they brought a large number of hostages as if to say to Netanyahu, now come and get them. And this was the invitation that caused Israel in Gaza a greater ruin and shame than the 7th of October. The result is that Israeli citizens already have dual citizenship. Most of them came from Europe. And they have also held the citizenship of these countries. Therefore, since October 7, a large number of Israelis have left Israel permanently.
This practice is still ongoing. The last flight left there just two days ago. It is not just an evacuation but a permanent migration that they have to do because there are no more suicide bombers but Hamas rockets and they go to every corner of Israel. Sirens are ringing all night long in Israel. People are not able to sleep due to which they are suffering from psychological diseases. Who will live in this atmosphere of fear? And why will it stay? And this is the greatest achievement of Hamas. Consider that the people of Gaza are being told by Israel and the United States to leave Gaza and go to Egypt, and they keep insisting that they will die and not leave their land. While the Israeli government is telling the Israelis not to leave their country, but flights are leaving in rows. In such a situation, the question is not unreasonable whether Israel will be able to maintain its existence.
